WITH GLOWING HEARTS:
How Ordinary Women Worked Together to Change the World (And Did)
by Jennifer Wynne Webber
WITH GLOWING HEARTS is the rousing true story of a group of hard rock miners’ wives who came together in 1941 to stand up for better conditions for their families. They became the heart and soul of a union movement that ultimately changed their lives — and the world.
Scirocco Drama recently published WITH GLOWING HEARTS. Please ask your local library and bookstore to carry the book. You can also order copies at online booksellers (such as Amazon) or from the Playwrights Guild of Canada’s Canadian Play Outlet,

Background. . .
The original one-act version of “With Glowing Hearts” was commissioned by Dr. Elizabeth Quinlan at the University of Saskatchewan and was based on her historical and sociological research.
Performed by University of Saskatchewan (U of S) Drama students and alumni, the play had a preview performance in Waskesiu, SK on June 13, 2016 at the SGEU Prairie School for Union Women, before being mounted at the Saskatoon Fringe Theatre Festival from July 28- August 6th, 2016. There it enjoyed a highly successful run, garnering enthusiastic reviews and consistently sold-out houses.
